Spreading Holiday Cheer

Date Posted: November 29, 2016Reading time: 1 minute

The Tramps are hoping to spread a little extra cheer this holiday season and would like to extend the opportunity for generosity to our Tramp friends and family. We’re collecting donations for two local charitable organizations: Laing House and Feed Nova Scotia. Check out the details below and learn how you can help give a little extra to those in need. Any donations can be dropped off at Trampoline Headquarters at 1559 Barrington Street, Suite 200, Halifax, NS.

Laing House is a drop-in centre for youth aged 16 – 29 living with a mood disorder, psychosis and/or anxiety disorder. Based on peer support, members can meet friends who have gone through similar experiences and support each other as they find wellness. Help Laing House fill stockings for their members by collecting the below items for men, women, and non-binary individuals. If you’d like to donate, please drop off your item(s) from the list below at Trampoline HQ no later than December 12.

Feed Nova Scotia helps feed the hungry by distributing 2M kg of donated food to 147 food banks and meal programs across the province. Each year they encourage Nova Scotians to donate non-perishable items to help feed families in need over the holidays. If you’d like to donate, please drop off your non-perishable food item(s) at Trampoline HQ no later than December 22.

The Halifax Shoebox Project collects and distributes gifts in the form of Shoeboxes to women who are homeless or at-risk of homelessness in our community. Earlier this month, the Tramps helped fill a shoebox with items that any woman would likely enjoy, but may not splurge on for herself in difficult times.

With your help, we look forward to making this time of year a little brighter for those in need.
