Share the Passion
Charm Diamond Centres’ new campaign revolves around sharing the passion –– a passion for quality diamonds, a passion for their craft, and sharing in your passion for your loved ones. The brief to Trampoline was to produce a television spot that captured this sentiment. I was asked to attend the filming of the commercial with my camera ready to capture the “making of” for a behind the scenes take. Photography has been my passion of late and I was only too happy to get in on the action.
We arrived on set with Egg Films busily unloading their truck, and the star of our production patiently waiting with rollers in her hair. Almost instantly, the stage was set for our beautiful couple who we see getting ready for a special evening. As she buttons his cufflinks and he helps her with her coat, we capture adoring gazes and gentle touches between the two.
The next scene opens outside as snowflakes fill the air. Egg production assistants stood waiting with handfuls of snowy white fluff at the ready. Everything was as scheduled ––until our flawless talent missed the front step and took a tumble down the stairs. Stockings torn, our lovely wife was now heading for the emergency department. Smiling through the pain, bandages were needed to repair the sizable gash on her hand and knee. Just when we thought production would need to be postponed, there she was, back on set –– a passion for her craft pushed her through.
The evening was brought to a close outside of Cut Steakhouse and Urban Grill restaurant on Lower Water Street. Magic was in the air as we watch the couple strolling along, her head on his shoulder. Just when the moment couldn’t be more perfect, he stops, reaches into his pocket, and presents a beautiful diamond ring.
Standing behind the scenes and watching the moment happen, it was apparent how Charm’s passion was shared with everyone on that set –– not to mention passersby who gazed at the beautiful couple kissing on the snowy sidewalk.
Stay tuned for our behind the scenes take and catch the spot on your local station today.
