Best of 2009: Brunch

There’s nothing like a relaxing weekend brunch in Halifax, and as far as I’m concerned, Saege Restaurant on Spring Garden Road is the best place to go. [...]

Ignite the Spirit online

It’s not just another Wordpress blog. Ignite the Spirit, the newly launched blog and website for the Central Nova Scotia Civic Centre Project, brings awareness and progress updates on the build of this highly anticipated facility. The centre is expected to house a 3,200-seat event venue, an NHL-sized ice pad, three-lane walking and jogging track, pool, fitness and wellness centre, rock climbing and more. The aim of the new blog is to communicate with the Truro community, whether it be an upcoming event, recognition of the projects’ partners or conveying ways people can get involved. The facility isn’t due to open until Fall 2012, but instead of leaving everyone in the dark on its development, we have opened the door to ongoing discussions through the blog and the use of social media. The traditional website – essentially a digitized version of your offline brochure, catalog or similar printed piece – is quickly becoming outdated and ineffective. And this has everything to do with the changes we’re seeing in online user mentality. For the past few years, users have gradually moved from a “find” mentality to a “use” mentality. [...]

2009 ICE Awards

Can I be forgiven for not blogging about the ICE Awards last week? I had a bit of an ICE hangover … actually I’d like to re-tract that … I don’t think there is an ICE Hangover, just a regular hangover and a great feeling of pride. Sure, there are a few agencies with sour tastes in their mouths, as some other agencies took home more crystal than usual, but we all know the game. And as a good friend of mine always reminds me, “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.” [...]

A new look

With 2010 only two months away it’s time for most companies to review and adjust their web strategy. We’re not any different here at trampoline and if you are a regular visitor to our site, you will definitely notice some changes. Most of them are cosmetic, but we plan to take things much further than that as we get closer to the new year. In this post, I won’t get into much of the underlying strategy, but I will definitely touch on that on a later date. [...]
