Get up where?

Get Up ThereNo more denying it – it’s winter time. As your cheeks turn pink from the brisk north winds and the snow gently falls on the sidewalk, visions of colorectal screenings appear. Not making the connection?? It is time to start thinking about Get Up There 2012. Get Up There is a public awareness movement, fundraiser and event in support of colorectal cancer that aims to reduce the stigma associated with colorectal screening.

According to the latest Canadian Cancer Society statistics, in 2011, an estimated 22,200 Canadians will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer and 8,900 will die of the disease. Overall, colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of death from cancer in men and women combined. In Nova Scotia, an estimated 470 men and 360 women will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer this year.

Beginning at sunrise on March 2, Get Up There participants will spend until sundown (or some part of the day) hiking or snowshoeing up to the top of Wentworth Mountain. After warming up in the hut, they will ski, snowboard, snowshoe or hike back down, an activity tackled in teams in a relay format with each descent considered a lap.

Think you can beat team Trampoline?? Get Up There is a great bonding activity for your office or family and just a great day in the outdoors with your friends. So why not get involved?

While Trampoline’s website is quietly undergoing a facelift and our talent roster continues to grow, updated profile pictures were also on the menu.

How to make it easy? Find a blank wall, set up a stool and a tripod, and file everyone through like hoards of school children. How to make the experience more fun? Take it outside and release your team on the streets. [...]

Share the Passion

Picture 24Charm Diamond Centres’ new campaign revolves around sharing the passion –– a passion for quality diamonds, a passion for their craft, and sharing in your passion for your loved ones. The brief to Trampoline was to produce a television spot that captured this sentiment. I was asked to attend the filming of the commercial with my camera ready to capture the “making of” for a behind the scenes take. Photography has been my passion of late and I was only too happy to get in on the action. [...]

Trampoline bouncing to barrington street

BarringtonOn June 1, Trampoline Branding will be moving to the second floor of 1559 Barrington Street. Now officially declared a heritage district, Trampoline Branding is proud to be a part of the revitalization of this historically significant thoroughfare.

For years, the second floor was home to Carsand-Mosher’s photo processing center – artistic visions, intimate moments and simple expressions of silliness were all once revealed here. Today, inspiration continues to radiate from the walls where Halifax’s memories were once illuminated. With this move, our goal is to honour the artistic spirit that was originally ignited in this space and continue to evoke emotions with our own creative pursuits. [...]
